I painted these four ‘windows’
and combined etching and photography. I experimented with the fauvist style
that focuses on bright unrealistic colours and rough brushstrokes. It is
unconventional and exceeds the boundaries of reality as well as very emotive.
Gaudi’s ‘Casa Mila’ is
located in Barcelona and was built between 1906-12. This innovative building
belongs to the Catalan modernism movement. Its unique and creative design presents with intricate
detail such as the decorated balconies, the wave-like form, the hollow interior,
etc.
I love to travel and experience
different cultures and environments. I try to capture this through photography.
I prefer the natural scenes over composed ones as I feel it offers a more
accurate representation of the place and the people.
